It is time to restore fairness to a group of people being denied basic rights simply because they were born on a different patch of the Earth.
One of the great things about our country is that the government also has to live within the rule of law, and everybody in America, under our constitution, is entitled to due process of law.
Deportation has been compared to the courts to banishment, exile. It's an extremely serious consequence that the immigrant judge has to decide.
Any comprehensive immigration reform policy has to be one in which immigrants are treated fairly, humanely, and have access to our legal system.
